专利说明:

The present invention relates to the field of the automobile, and more particularly to the field of spoilers of a motor vehicle of the type comprising a device for cleaning the rear window.
Spoiler (or spoiler in English) a body part forming an extension of the roof positioned on the rear of a vehicle, and for improving the aerodynamics (rear) of the vehicle on which this piece is placed. The spoilers are also used for aesthetic aspects (style) of the vehicle. They are located and fixed at the top and rear of the vehicle between the roof and the top edge of the telescope, on the roof or on the tailgate.
Some spoilers are also devices for cleaning the rear window.
Conventionally, rain and dirt are usually removed from the rear window using windshield wipers and rear window washers. Unfortunately, windshield wipers and windshield wipers tend to be fragile, expensive and subject to damage. They are also much less used than those located at the front for the windshield. Therefore, some spoilers are adapted to direct a portion of the air flowing from the front to the rear of the vehicle along the top surface of the roof panel, directly above the rear window. As a result, dirt (rain, mud, dust ...) is blown from the rear window.
There is known a movable spoiler disposed in a region of a rear roof edge above a rear window. This spoiler is movable in that the angle of the spoiler with the roof is modified according to the weather conditions. Thus, when it rains, the spoiler is inclined to form an inclined section whose raised portion is on the upstream side of the flow. This inclined pan thus opposes the flow of air and directs it above the telescope, via a spacing formed between the spoiler and the bezel.
Thus, the air flowing from the front to the rear of the vehicle is blocked against the spoiler wall before being directed in a substantially opposite direction.
This type of spoiler therefore offers a very penalizing solution for the overall aerodynamic efficiency of the vehicle.
Also known from EP2711254A2 example a spoiler fixed relative to the vehicle, but having a movable flap. The movable flap protrudes from the upper side of the spoiler, and the protrusion rate (overtaking height) increases as the vehicle speed decreases to clean the rear window. Conversely, the protrusion rate decreases as the speed increases to limit the aerodynamic disadvantages.
This type of spoiler, even if it improves the aerodynamic efficiency compared to the fully movable spoiler, still offers a disadvantageous solution in terms of aerodynamic efficiency. Especially since the mobile component, under constant pressure, must be reinforced and therefore weighed down to withstand such aerodynamic constraints.
Thus, known systems for cleaning the rear window, comprise a member projecting from the roof extension surface, for capturing the air flowing along the roof and redirect it over the rear window. However, these bodies have a negative effect on the aerodynamics of the vehicle, especially at high speed.
Systems that are free of moving elements are also known. These devices have a permanent opening, through (in the Z-shaped spoiler) and opening above the rear window, this opening being adapted to pass (passively) a portion of the air flow from the roof towards the telescope, through the opening. An "opening" is a channel having an inlet and an outlet in the thickness (Z) of the spoiler. Thus, the air coming from the roof passes passively into the entrance of the channel, then flows into the channel, and finally leaves the channel at its exit, facing the rear window.
However, such an opening can have a negative effect on the aerodynamics of the vehicle, especially at high speed, where the aerodynamics are optimal without air bypass, because it is often necessary to direct all the air coming from the roof towards the roof. rear of the vehicle. In addition, the deflection of the path of the air caused by the opening, generates noises at certain speeds. These phonic disturbances may cause discomfort for the driver and his passengers, but also for people outside the vehicle. Such noises can indeed cause noise pollution in homes near high-speed roads. The invention aims to overcome these disadvantages by providing a spoiler adapted to pass, under certain speed or weather conditions, a portion of the air flowing from the front to the rear of the vehicle along the road. top surface of the roof panel, directly above the rear window, while allowing in some other driving conditions, improve the sound and aerodynamic performance of the car. The invention achieves this by providing the spoiler an opening provided with a movable wall for closing the opening and opening downwardly to passively pass the air from the roof above the rear window.
Thus, the object of the invention relates to a spoiler for a motor vehicle intended to be disposed in a region of a rear roof edge above a rear window, said spoiler having an upper face substantially aligned with an imaginary extension an air flow line of the roof, and at least one through opening and opening above a region of the rear window, said opening being provided with at least one inner wall adapted to channel a flow of d air from the roof above the area through the opening. According to the invention, the wall is movably mounted relative to the spoiler, so as to open towards the rear window to channel the flow of air over the region, and so as to close the opening in a closed position.
Advantageously, the movable wall may be configured to close the opening so that an upper face of the movable wall is flush with the upper surface of the spoiler.
According to the invention, the spoiler may comprise an actuating means adapted to move the movable wall, the actuating means being located under the upper face of the spoiler.
The movable wall is preferably rotatably mounted about an axis oriented transversely to the vehicle when the spoiler is mounted on the vehicle. In this case, the actuating means and the axis of rotation are advantageously located under the upper face of the spoiler.
Advantageously, the axis of rotation may be located upstream of the opening, so as to allow pivoting of the movable wall from opening or closing the opening, without the movable wall protruding from the upper face of the spoiler. Thus, the movable wall may be able to pivot about the axis in at least two positions: an opening position, in which the movable wall is oriented towards the telescope, with an orientation enabling the air passing through the opening above the region of the rear window; - A closed position, wherein the movable wall closes the opening being substantially aligned with an imaginary extension of the roof flow line, and while flush with the upper face of the spoiler.
The movable wall may also include a raised position relative to the closed position, wherein the movable wall forms an inclined plane projecting from the upper face of the spoiler, a downstream portion of the wall being higher than an upstream portion.
Preferably, the region corresponds to the rear vision region of the vehicle.
The spoiler according to the invention may have a plurality of apertures, and may include a skin style providing an external appearance to the spoiler, and a skin-style reinforcing element attached to the skin-style, the reinforcing member being adapted forming a hollow body when attached to the vehicle and in which is housed the actuating means.
Finally, according to the invention, the skin style and / or the reinforcing element is preferably made of thermoplastic material. The invention will be better understood on reading the appended figures, which are provided by way of examples and are not limiting in nature, in which: FIG. 1 illustrates an example of a spoiler according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a diagram of a section (YO) of a spoiler according to the invention without moving wall; - Figure 3 is a diagram of a section (YO) of a spoiler according to the invention with its movable wall and its actuating means;
FIGS. 4A to 4C illustrate the different positions of the movable wall of a spoiler according to the invention
Referring now to Figures 1 and 2, which illustrate an embodiment of a spoiler 10 according to the invention.
The spoiler 10 for a motor vehicle according to the invention is intended to be disposed in a region of a rear roof edge 20 above a rear window 30. The spoiler can thus be fixed on the roof, or embarked on the tailgate.
The spoiler 10 has an upper face 12 and a lower face 14 (see Figure 2). The upper face 12 is preferably substantially aligned with an imaginary extension of the roof flow line, for aerodynamic reasons and / or for stylistic reasons.
The spoiler 10 has an upstream portion, intended to be fixed on the vehicle, and a downstream portion forming a projection above the rear window 30. The concepts of upstream and downstream position refer to the flow of air on the upper side of the spoiler when the vehicle is moving forward.
The spoiler 10 comprises at least one through opening 40, that is to say connecting the top 12 and bottom 14. The term "opening" means a channel having an inlet and an outlet in the thickness (Z) of the spoiler. Thus, the air coming from the roof passes passively into the entrance of the channel, then flows into the channel, and finally leaves the channel at its exit, facing the rear window. The channel thus has walls, called internal walls. The opening 40 is positioned so as to open above a region of the rear window 30, that is to say a part of the air coming from the roof 20, and entering this opening 40, spring over a region 35 of the telescope (see Figure 4A). Preferably, this region 35 substantially corresponds to the rear vision area of the vehicle, which must therefore be the one to be cleaned. The driver's field of vision is referred to as rear vision when he looks towards the rear of the vehicle through the rear window 30. The opening 40 has internal walls adapted to channel (passively direct) the air entering the opening. 40 above the region 35 of the bezel so as to clean the latter, in particular by passing a stream of air to drive water or other pollution on the surface of the telescope 30. The air deflected from the Thus, the main stream passes over the rear window 30 at least in the rear view region 35 of the vehicle. As a result, dirt (rain, mud, dust, leaves, snow ...) is blown from the rear window.
According to the invention, at least one of its walls is movably mounted relative to the spoiler 10, so as to open downwards, that is to say towards the rear window 30, to channel the air flow over the region 35, and so as to seal the opening 40 in a closed position.
Advantageously, this movable wall 50 is configured to close the opening 40 so that the upper face 55 (see FIG. 3) of this movable wall is flush (neither protruding nor in depression) with the upper surface 12 of the spoiler 10.
Advantageously, in the closed position, the movable wall 50 is substantially aligned with an imaginary extension of the roof flow line. This configuration provides an aesthetic advantage due to a masking of the opening 40, and therefore, a sense of continuity of the roof. In addition, this configuration makes it possible to prevent rain or dirt from easily reaching the rear window, unlike the solutions of the prior art.
The movable wall 50 is set in motion by an actuating means 60. Preferably, the actuating means 60 is situated under the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10.
Thus, the actuating means 60 is not projecting with respect to the upper face 12, so as not to disturb the flow of air coming from the roof and then sliding on the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10.
Figure 1 illustrates an exemplary embodiment, wherein the spoiler 10 is a spoiler, roof or tailgate for a motor vehicle. The spoiler 10 comprises according to this example a single opening 40 extending over substantially the entire width of the spoiler 10. The width of the spoiler is the dimension taken in the Y axis of the vehicle, that is to say in the width of the vehicle.
According to this example, the movable wall 50 is rotatably mounted about an axis 70 oriented transversely relative to the vehicle (see FIGS. 3 and 4A to 4C).
As illustrated in FIGS. 4A and 4B, on which the flow of air is indicated by arrows, the movable wall 50 thus has at least two positions: an open position (FIG. 4A), in which it is oriented in the direction of the telescope, with an orientation for sending the air passing through the opening 40 above the region 35 of the rear window 30; - A closed position (Figure 4B), wherein it is oriented substantially parallel to the upper face 55 of the spoiler, while being flush with the same surface. In this closed position, the movable wall prevents air from passing into the opening, without modifying the flow of air coming from the roof and then sliding on the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10.
Preferably, the axis 70 is located towards the upstream portion of the spoiler 10, that is to say toward the front of the vehicle when the spoiler 10 is mounted on the vehicle. Preferably the axis 70 is located in the first half (along the axis X of the vehicle) of the spoiler 10. The axis of rotation 70 is therefore located upstream of the opening 40, so as to allow pivoting towards the bottom of the movable wall 50 coming to open or close the opening 40, without any part of the movable wall being protruding from the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10.
The movable wall 50 is set in motion by an actuating means 60. This actuating means 60 makes it possible to pivot the movable wall 50 about the axis of rotation 70 on which the movable wall 50 is mounted.
Preferably, the actuating means 60 and the axis of rotation are located under the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10. Thus, neither the actuating means 60, nor the axis of rotation 70, nor the movable wall 50, even in the closed position, does not protrude from the upper face 12, so as not to disturb the flow of air from the roof and sliding on the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10. Aerodynamic and acoustic performance spoiler 10 are perfectly preserved in this closed position.
According to one embodiment, the spoiler 10 has several openings 40. According to this embodiment, the openings are preferably aligned on a transverse axis of the vehicle. The walls of each opening cooperate to contribute together to direct air from the roof to the region of the rear window 30. Preferably, each opening 40 is provided with a movable wall 50.
According to one embodiment (Figure 4C), the movable wall 50 also has a raised position relative to the aligned closed position. In this configuration, the axis 70 is advantageously located upstream of the opening 40. In Figure 4C, the air flow is indicated by an arrow.
The movable wall 50 then forms a wall projecting from the upper face 12 of the spoiler 10. This projecting wall forms an inclined plane, the downstream part of the wall being higher than the upstream part (unlike the open position ( lowered) of the wall). The wall then directs upward the flow of air flowing along the roof of the vehicle, in order to increase the aerodynamic support.
Thus, in rain conditions, the actuating means 60 orients the movable wall in the open position, so as to create the through opening 40, and so as to let some of the air coming from the roof to a region of the rear window 30 to clean, to chase rainwater, dust, snow and other pollution, out of the telescope 30.
In dry condition (without water on the rear window), and at low speed (less than 100 km / h) the actuating means 60 orients the movable wall in the closed position, so as to close the opening 40 to avoid phonic and aerodynamic disturbances.
In dry condition (without water on the rear window), and at high speed (greater than 100 km / h) the actuating means 60 orients the mobile wall in raised position, so as to orient the movable wall 50 according to an inclined plane upward to increase aerodynamic support.
According to an embodiment not shown, the spoiler 10 of a motor vehicle, extends laterally with respect to the vehicle body, the width of the vehicle, and it comprises: - a skin style providing an external appearance to the spoiler, and projecting towards the rear of the vehicle; and - a reinforcing element (part of the roof or tailgate) of the skin style attached to the skin style, having means for attachment to the roof or tailgate 100.
A housing housing is provided between the reinforcing member and the spoiler 10, when the spoiler 10 is mounted on the vehicle. This housing can accommodate a technical equipment, including, preferably, the actuating means 60.
The skin style is preferably made of thermoplastic material. The reinforcing element may be of thermosetting material or thermoplastic material. The invention is not limited to the embodiments presented and other embodiments will become apparent to those skilled in the art. It is possible in particular, according to one embodiment, that the movable wall 50 of the spoiler 10 is not a wall of the opening 40. In such an embodiment, the movable wall may be a wall substantially parallel to the upper face. 12 of the spoiler, housed between the upper faces 12 and 14, and set in motion by a substantially translational movement.
